The Ministry of Textiles has announced the establishment of seven Mega Integrated Textile Region and Apparel (PM MITRA) Parks with a total investment of Rs. 4,445 crore. These are intended at assisting India to fulfil the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 9. “Build resilient infrastructure, promote sustainable industrialisation and stimulate innovation”. The PM MITRA Parks are expected to offer world-class industrial infrastructure, attracting cutting-edge technology and increasing FDI and local investment in the textiles sector.

PM Mitra Scheme Textile park facility
You will also be given with an incubation centre and plug and play facility, a built manufacturing site, roads, power, water and waste water system, a common processing house, and other amenities such as a design centre and a testing centre in the textile park. This textile park will also include a workers’ dormitory and accommodation, a logistics park, warehousing, and medical services. Manufacturing will take up 50% of this textile park, utilities will take up 20%, and development will take up 10%.
Clothes will be cut, produced, and coloured all in one location in the park that will be built under this concept. Under this proposal, the greatest and most expensive equipment in the world will be employed to make garments. When this strategy is fully completed, a whole line of apparel will be produced.
