IPL 2023
IPL 2023:The first IPL team to recognise former players Gayle and AB de Villiers for their services to the team is RCB.
RCB icons Virat Kohli, AB de Villiers, and Chris Gayle landed in Bangalore on Saturday in preparation for the 16th round of the Indian Premier League.
“This video screams Main Character energy,” the RCB franchise captioned a video of the players’ entrance on their social media page.
By inducting them into the “RCB Hall of Fame,” Royal Challengers Bangalore will pay tribute to the former players for their services to the team when they were active in the league.
The squad will honour the batting greats by permanently retiring their jersey numbers as a sign of appreciation.
“We promised you during last year’s IPL that we’ll get @ABdeVilliers17 and @henrygayle together at the Chinnaswamy stadium,” the team said on Twitter to make the announcement earlier in the week. And sure, they will be present on March 26th, 2023, at the #RCBUnbox event for the induction of the RCB Hall of Fame.
