While addressing the party workers after BJP’s historic return to Delhi’s throne with a landslide mandate, he noticed a party worker seated in one of the rows close to the stage was feeling unwell.
Taking a pause, the Prime Minister pointed towards the worker and asked in Hindi, “Is he sleepy or unwell? Doctor, please check on him. Please give him some water. He seems unwell, please look after him… He looks uneasy.”
It was only after the worker had some water and gestured that he was okay that the Prime Minister continued his speech.
Meanwhile, he hailed the BJP’s historic victory in the Delhi elections and took a sharp jibe at the outgoing government, saying “Delhi is now free of AAP-da.”
He extended his gratitude to the people of Delhi for showing their trust in “Modi Ki Guarantee” and said, “The 10-decade ‘AAP-da’ has ended in Delhi. Delhi’s mandate is clear and this is a victory of development, vision and trust.”
According to the latest data from the Election Commission, the BJP has achieved a resounding victory in the national capital, winning 48 seats. In contrast, the ruling AAP suffered a major setback, securing only 22 seats.
Meanwhile, the Congress failed to open its account in the Delhi polls. The Delhi Legislative Assembly comprises 70 seats, and political parties need to secure at least 36 seats to form a government.
