Crores flocked to the Triveni Sangam in Prayagraj to take the holy dip at Maha Kumbh during the auspicious Mauni Amavasya on Wednesday. A stampede in the early hours of Wednesday, in which 30 people were killed, and 60 others were injured, over 5 crore devotees had taken a holy dip at the confluence by 4 pm.
Among those were saints and sages representing different Akharas. After having the Amrit Snaan, International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) and Nirvani Akhara members Swami Shyamanandji and Mukund spoke to IndiaToday TV and shared their experience. They called it a wonderful and once in a lifetime experience to be a part of the Maha Kumbh that is held once in 144 years.
