The Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) reviewing the Waqf (Amendment) Bill, 2024, approved all amendments suggested by the BJP-led NDA members, while dismissing all proposals from opposition members during a clause-by-clause discussion. The amendments were supported by 16 MPs from the ruling government and opposed by 10 members of the opposition through voting.
